Responsibilities
- Design primary and secondary aircraft structural parts and assemblies using metallic and composite materials.
- Lead and interface with IPT/Program leadership, suppliers, and customers to develop engineering design solutions.
- Collaborate with structural analysis and manufacturing teams to create flight-weight structures.
- Utilize GD&T and Model Based Engineering methods for airframe layouts and engineering definitions.
- Document and develop best practices while mentoring junior engineers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM discipline with 8 years of experience, or a Master’s with 6 years, or a PhD with 3 years of experience.
- Experience in designing composite aircraft parts and components.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Preferred degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in NX Solid Modelling or similar 3D modeling software and Teamcenter.
- Understanding of GD&T and MBE methods.
