Principal / Sr. Principal Crew & Equipment Design Engineer - R10191770

The role is for a Principal Crew & Equipment Design Engineer or Senior Principal Crew & Equipment Design Engineer at Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, FL. The position involves developing and maintaining aircraft Crew & Equipment design configurations.

• Design and integrate crew systems, cockpit furnishings, and equipment.
• Develop mockups and simulators.
• Perform trade studies and make recommendations.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and opportunities.
• Utilize NX and Teamcenter for design tasks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure maintainable configurations.
• Apply GD&T requirements to models.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM with relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in aircraft crew/cockpit design and integration.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software applications.
• Ability to obtain a government Secret clearance.
• Preferred: Master’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, familiarity with NX CAD software, and experience with military airworthiness certification.
