The position is for a Principal/Senior Principal Dimensional Manufacturing Engineer at Northrop Grumman, located in Melbourne, Florida. The role involves on-site support within the Dimensional Engineering Team, focusing on manufacturing engineering and dimensional architecture.

• Provide guidance on manufacturing techniques to meet engineering designs.
• Participate in tool design reviews to improve build times and reduce costs.
• Identify and improve manufacturing processes and tooling requirements.
• Research and develop process training and technical documentation.
• Define product build sequences and initiate corrective actions for non-conforming products.
• Liaise with engineering to influence production costs related to various systems.
• Support safety initiatives and provide technical course instruction.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with relevant engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Familiarity with GD&T and 3D Model Based Definition.
• Experience with tolerance analysis.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and meet physical demands.
• Preferred experience in aerospace manufacturing and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
