Responsibilities
- Design primary and secondary aircraft structural parts, assemblies, and installations using metallic and/or composite materials.
- Lead and prepare engineering design solutions within an Integrated Product Team (IPT).
- Collaborate with structural analysis, manufacturing, and materials processes to produce flight weight structures.
- Use GD&T and Model Based Engineering (MBE) methods for airframe layouts and engineering definitions.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and assist in developing best practices.
- Interface with IPT/Program leadership, suppliers, and customers.
- Develop Product Definition Packages for challenging design problems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
- Experience designing composite aircraft parts/components and assemblies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Proficiency with NX Solid Modelling or similar 3D modeling software.
- Understanding of GD&T and MBE methods.
- Experience working in an IPT environment is a plus.
