Responsibilities
- Design primary and secondary aircraft structural parts and assemblies using metallic and composite materials.
- Work within or lead an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to prepare engineering design solutions.
- Collaborate with structural analysis, manufacturing, and materials processes to produce flight weight structures.
- Employ GD&T and Model Based Engineering methods to create airframe layouts.
- Develop and document best practices and mentor junior engineers.
- Interface with IPT/Program leadership, suppliers, and customers.
- Prepare Product Definition Packages for engineering design solutions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM discipline and 2 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with no experience for Aeronautical Engineer position.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, or a Master’s with 3 years, or a PhD with no experience for Principal Engineer position.
- Experience in designing composite aircraft parts/components and installations.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Preferred degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency with NX Solid Modelling or similar 3D modeling software.
- Understanding of GD&T and MBE methods.
