Responsibilities
- Design primary and secondary aircraft structural parts and assemblies using metallic and/or composite materials.
- Lead and interface with IPT/Program leadership, suppliers, and customers to prepare engineering design solutions.
- Collaborate with structural analysis, manufacturing, and materials to produce flight weight structures.
- Employ GD&T and Model Based Engineering methods to create airframe layouts.
- Develop and document best practices while mentoring junior engineers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM discipline and 2 years of experience (Aeronautical Engineer) or 5 years of experience (Principal Aeronautical Engineer).
- Experience in designing composite aircraft parts/components.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government Secret clearance.
- Preferred degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in NX Solid Modelling or similar 3D modeling software and Teamcenter.
