Responsibilities
- Support product design and engineering development of Nextpower horizontal tracking systems.
- Perform and manage engineering work using CAD/FEA software for mechanical/structural design.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for future improvements with the mechanical engineering team.
- Problem solve manufacturing and production issues affecting product launches.
- Contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) during pilot testing.
- Utilize toolsets like SolidWorks and FEA (ANSYS preferred).
- Ensure understanding of DFM for high volume manufacturing and mechanical failure analysis.
Job Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Extensive knowledge of drawings, model and tolerance standards.
- Experience in mass production manufacturing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Willingness to travel and work at client sites.
