Responsibilities
- Design and produce hardware solutions for brain-machine interface devices.
- Own projects from concept to production.
- Collaborate with neuroscientists, biologists, and engineers.
- Determine design criteria for surgical robotics and automation.
- Utilize mechanical engineering background in the field of brain-machine interfaces.
- Drive down surgery time and invasiveness while maximizing safety and accuracy.
- Adapt and solve problems in a cross-disciplinary team environment.
Job Requirements
- 6+ months of experience applying technical skills outside of the classroom.
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
- Preferred: 1+ years of mechanical engineering industry experience.
- Proficiency in Solidworks or similar CAD program.
- Experience with conventional machining and rapid prototyping technologies.
- Experience with precision design and manufacturing.
- Resourceful, flexible, and adaptable in a team setting.
