Responsibilities
- Optimize manufacturability and cost by leading the design of hardware and production cells and PFMEA process.
- Develop and implement essential production tooling, jigs, fixtures, and equipment.
- Ensure quality and efficiency through rigorous process qualification using Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Develop comprehensive documentation, including work instructions, test procedures, safety standards, and mBOMs.
- Participate in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews to influence product design.
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing challenges and non-conformances.
- Mentor and train colleagues in manufacturing processes and techniques.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in dynamic engineering or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to tackle complex problems using first principles thinking.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or NX.
- Experience in developing, designing, and optimizing tooling for production lines.
- Track record of successfully introducing and implementing new products from NPI to Mass Production.
- Hands-on fabrication skills with general shop tools, manual machining, welding, and CNC machining.
