Responsibilities
- Create specific designs using composite technology for robotic applications.
- Develop specifications, test methods, and protocols for medical device functionality and safety.
- Lead assessments and solve design problems through testing and analysis.
- Mentor younger engineers and act as a technical leader on projects.
- Conduct hands-on building and testing of prototypes.
- Design and implement cleaning solutions and maintain CAD models.
- Interact with physicians to validate product assumptions and definitions.
Job Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of hands-on engineering experience (12+ for Principal).
- Experience with cross-functional teams and medical device manufacturing.
- Proven ability to generate original ideas and contribute to IP.
- Strong understanding of design controls for medical devices.
- Preferred experience with composite structures and articulating endoscopes.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and project management skills.
