Responsibilities
- Lead the design of structural and electromechanical subassemblies for a flexible robotic platform.
- Invent, design, build, test/analysis, and iterate capital hardware to solve clinical problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create solutions for clinician needs.
- Maintain Solidworks CAD models and create detailed drawings per GD&T.
- Develop specifications, requirements, and test methods for design verification.
- Create efficient manufacturing methods and tooling.
- Lead technical design reviews and present design inputs and outputs.
Job Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience.
- Experience in mechanism design and knowledge of motors, encoders, and sensors.
- Proficient in mechanical analysis, including FEA and thermal analysis.
- Knowledge of design for manufacturability and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with design control and risk management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
