Responsibilities
- Create and refine spacecraft mechanical designs using CAD (Solidworks).
- Manage delivery of mechanical vehicles and subsystems in collaboration with various engineering teams.
- Develop clean-sheet mechanical architectures balancing capability demonstration and scaled-up constellations.
- Generate quick concepts for early program discussions.
- Conduct basic stress and dynamic analyses to support design decisions.
- Contribute to the development of mechanical engineering standards.
- Design test fixtures for development and environmental testing.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in designing/building/testing flight hardware in the Space industry or similar.
- B.S. or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience as an individual contributor in structural/mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD design and understanding of engineering drawings.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced work environment.
- Familiarity with solar arrays, structural tests, and managing external vendors is a plus.
