Responsibilities
- Create and refine spacecraft mechanical designs using CAD (Solidworks).
- Manage the delivery of mechanical vehicles and subsystems across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Develop clean-sheet mechanical architectures aligned with project timelines and risk assessments.
- Generate quick concepts to inspire team discussions during early program phases.
- Perform stress and dynamic analyses to support structural designs.
- Contribute to the development of mechanical engineering standards and culture at Muon.
- Design test fixtures for development and environmental testing.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in designing/building/testing flight hardware in the Space industry or similar fields.
- B.S. or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience as an individual contributor in structural/mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD design and understanding of technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Nice-to-have skills include experience with solar arrays and structural tests for spacecraft.
