Summer 2026 Internship: Hardware Engineer Intern (Electrical or Mechanical)

The Avigilon Alta Access Hardware Team is seeking Electrical or Mechanical Engineering students for a Summer 2026 Hardware Engineer Intern program to gain hands-on experience in designing, developing, and testing physical security hardware solutions.

• Assist in the design and development of new hardware components and systems for access control products.
• Conduct testing, debugging, and validation of electrical circuits and mechanical assemblies.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Support assembly and fabrication of prototypes and test fixtures.
• Perform data collection and analysis to evaluate hardware performance.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
• Document designs, test procedures, and results clearly.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of electrical or mechanical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with software tools like Altium Designer, SolidWorks, etc.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping and lab equipment is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
