Responsibilities
- Identify key capabilities of interest with experienced engineers.
- Analyze Motional’s Operational Design Domain (ODD) for relevant characteristics.
- Analyze on-road events to identify patterns and relevant tests.
- Participate in setting targets for autonomy systems and informing their design.
- Build and maintain a knowledge base of capability activities.
- Conduct regular reviews to convey findings and gather feedback.
- Potentially set up a system for managing the engineering knowledge base.
Job Requirements
- Pursuing MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- Self-motivated and able to support projects from start to finish.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of Autonomous Vehicle functioning principles.
- Python coding experience is a bonus.
- Experience in evaluating Autonomous Driving Behavior is a plus.
- Fluency in SQL or similar languages is advantageous.
