Electrical Design Engineer

The Electrical Design Engineer at Moog plays a key role in designing and developing advanced test equipment for cutting-edge systems, collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team to create innovative and reliable solutions.

• Collaborate with a design and development team to analyze, design, and test electrical components for control systems.
• Support the evolution of designs and project planning phases under the guidance of the lead engineer.
• Coordinate with drafters and vendors to develop new electrical console designs.
• Select commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) parts for test console assemblies.
• Develop custom cable harness assemblies for mechanical and hydraulic test systems.
• Support design and troubleshoot wiring schematics for electromechanical subassemblies.
• Perform Test Accuracy Ratio/Test Uncertainty Ratio (TAR/TUR) analyses on electrical signal paths.

• An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of experience in electronic device design.
• Knowledge of industry standards in wiring/harness assemblies and electromechanical design.
• Basic knowledge of analog and digital signal conditioning and circuit analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Basic understanding of sensor/transducer applications and data acquisition systems.
• Experience with schematic capture software and circuit simulation tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
