Responsibilities
- Work closely with production to build new capacitance sensor designs.
- Diagnose production-related issues with sensor performance.
- Perform various mechanical and thermal analyses using SolidWorks and/or COMSOL FEA.
- Test sensors at the capacitance output level.
- Test sensors and electronics at the voltage (transducer) output level.
- Analyze test data and produce detailed reports.
- Design and troubleshoot various test systems and bespoke test equipment via 3D printing and CNC milling.
Job Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Mechanical Engineering or relevant majors.
- Willingness to perform extensive test data analysis.
- Good understanding of mechanical design principles.
- Good understanding of heat transfer principles.
- Proficient with using test instrumentation like thermocouples, strain gauges, and infrared cameras.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods.
