Responsibilities
- Model and design mechanical and electro-mechanical parts and assemblies for production.
- Conduct mechanical design analysis including thermal and structural evaluations.
- Develop engineering test plans for designs.
- Create detailed drawing packages and manufacturing instructions.
- Assist in engineering prototype builds and component fabrication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition designs from concept to mass production.
- Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and ensure timely product delivery.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DfM), Design for Assembly (DfA), and Design for Reliability (DfR).
- Proficient in GD&T and tolerance stacks.
- Proven track record of delivering products to market.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Experience with CAD software (Onshape or Solidworks) and PLM systems.
- Familiarity with DFMEA and PFMEA processes.
