Responsibilities
- Define hardware requirements and perform system-level design trades for Flippy deployment.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to optimize designs for customer needs and reliability.
- Contribute to the full development cycle of Flippy's various robot subsystems.
- Design, prototype, and build mechanical and electro-mechanical modules for Flippy systems.
- Implement testing protocols and create documentation for Flippy's deployment.
- Iterate on designs to enhance long-term reliability in the field.
- Manage and issue ECOs for Flippy parts and assemblies.
Job Requirements
- A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically with AI-powered systems or robots.
- Proficiency in CAD software; SolidWorks or OnShape preferred.
- Experience with PLM systems and assigning part numbers.
- Ability to perform Machine Design analysis using hand calculations and FEA.
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes and rapid prototyping.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
