Responsibilities
- Learn and understand various metrology instruments and their capabilities.
- Work with engineers and designers to create measurement plans based on their needs.
- Coordinate and maintain the metrology lab and equipment for accurate data collection.
- Interpret drawings per ASME Y14.5-2009 and develop measurement plans.
- Identify trends in metrology and make recommendations for the lab.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on measurement methods and solutions.
Job Requirements
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field AND 1+ years of related technical experience, OR Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years of experience.
- 2+ years experience in mechanical design using CAD software.
- 2+ years experience with metrology equipment (e.g., CMMs, profilometers, 3D scanners).
- Preferred: 8+ years of related experience or advanced degrees with relevant experience.
- 2+ years experience in dimensional metrology roles.
- Experience reading and interpreting ASME Y14.5-2009 drawings.
- Background in the consumer electronics or prototyping industry.
