Responsibilities

  • Develop physics-based and/or data-driven battery models using internal and external data.
  • Translate aging modes/mechanisms into new and existing models.
  • Create and oversee testing/DoEs to parameterize models and validate performance.
  • Apply models to improve engineering processes and workflows.
  • Define future simulation/modeling capabilities and strategy.
  • Serve as the technical lead and point of contact for battery simulation/modeling.
  • Guide next-generation battery data analytics.

Job Requirements

  • Doctorate or Master’s in relevant fields with corresponding years of experience in battery technology.
  • Expertise in battery modeling and analytics, particularly in electrochemistry and thermal dynamics.
  • Proficient in tools such as PyBamm, COMSOL, GT Suite, and Simulink.
  • Skilled in Python for data manipulation and automation.
  • Familiarity with emerging battery technologies for consumer electronics.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative experience in technical discussions.
  • Deep curiosity for machine learning and AI related to battery behavior.
