Responsibilities
- Build partnerships with infrastructure partners to define hardware design requirements.
- Lead hardware architecture reviews to identify and mitigate technical design gaps.
- Perform mechanical and electrical design for robotics applications.
- Lead proof-of-concept developments and conduct thorough analysis and testing.
- Collaborate with software engineers for seamless hardware-software integration.
- Lead DFx efforts and contribute to hardware assembly process development.
- Mentor team members and provide technical support throughout the development lifecycle.
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in hardware lifecycle management and production release.
- Expert understanding of mechanical engineering principles and proficiency in CAD software.
- Experience with hands-on rapid prototyping and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication.
- Experience in end-to-end hardware development life cycle and agile processes.
- Preferred: Master’s or PhD in relevant fields and extensive experience in complex robotics systems design.
