Responsibilities
- Architect complex mechanical solutions as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems.
- Manage the full product development cycle from concept to shipping.
- Collaborate with external teams to optimize internal resource allocation.
- Champion engineering practices and influence the design process within the organization.
- Travel to external vendors up to 20%.
- Ensure adherence to manufacturing processes and standards.
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- 10+ years of product design and development experience in handheld/wearable electronics.
- Proficiency in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Knowledge of material properties and high-volume manufacturing techniques.
- Experience in testing and analysis methods (FEA, Simulation, etc.).
- Preferred MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in systems engineering across mechanical and electrical systems.
