Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design for components, features, or systems with an understanding of end-to-end product development.
- Contribute to mechanical solutions in a cross-functional team environment.
- Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems.
- Engage in the full product development cycle from concept to shipping product.
- Collaborate and manage work with Asia-based Supply Chain.
- Innovate using state-of-the-art technologies to solve complex mechanical problems.
- Travel to external vendors up to 20%.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of industry experience in mechanical design.
- Proficiency in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and CAD.
- Knowledge of material properties like plastics and metals.
- Testing and analysis experience (FEA, Simulation, etc.).
- Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing techniques.
- Preferred: 5+ years in product design of consumer electronics and experience with NX CAD.
- Preferred: MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
