Responsibilities
- Design and develop new Soft Goods parts and assemblies for high-volume consumer electronic devices.
- Own Soft Goods engineering activities throughout the product life cycle, from definition and creation to design, production, and improvements.
- Collaborate with Industrial Designers and engineering disciplines to identify challenges and implement solutions.
- Work with teams of engineers and vendors to deliver products within time and cost constraints.
- Implement engineering processes to solve design and manufacturing challenges.
- Contribute to technical specifications and product definition.
- Test and evaluate soft goods design components for manufacturability and performance.
Job Requirements
- BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in product design engineering of consumer products from concept to production.
- Foundational knowledge in engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with human factors and wearable technologies.
- Knowledge in mechanical design fundamentals for consumer electronics.
- Experience working with China-based vendors.
- Experience building and assembling prototypes.
