Responsibilities
- Perform Finite Element (FEA) modeling and simulations using Ansys, COMSOL, or similar software.
- Interpret FEA results and provide physical explanations and solutions to problems.
- Recommend design changes to meet device performance requirements.
- Lead model verification and validation, designing data collection/testing methods.
- Collaborate with partner teams to inform model development and validation.
- Perform mechanical design of prototype devices and testbeds.
- Develop scripts to automate thermal and mechanical simulations and optimization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in static and dynamic FEA in high-volume consumer electronic products.
- Proficient in FEA tools (COMSOL or ANSYS) and CAD tools (NX, Solidworks).
- Proficient in Matlab and Python scripting.
- Detail-oriented with critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
- Experience with end-to-end model development, iterations, and validation.
