Responsibilities
- Develop consumer products with a focus on high precision alignment processes for optical systems.
- Apply engineering principles to model, build, test, and refine prototypes.
- Provide insights and guidance to peers in a collaborative research team.
- Transform ambiguous requests into workable custom solutions.
- Contribute to FMEA, failure analysis, tolerance analysis, and GD&T activities.
- Collaborate with international vendors and contract manufacturers.
- Drive concepts into prototypes and envision high-volume consumer product transitions.
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in complex mechanical designs.
- Proficiency in 3D design modeling (SolidWorks or NX) and physical prototyping.
- Experience with mass production and various manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with VR/AR systems and wearable technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills in novel technology development.
- Experience with component/system level modeling and optimization methodologies.
