Responsibilities
- Set direction and goals for a sizeable team regarding project impact and ML system design.
- Adapt machine learning methods for modern parallel environments.
- Re-evaluate tradeoffs of existing ML systems and reduce technical debt.
- Lead teams in developing ML best practices and high engineering standards.
- Address complex online/production performance issues related to ML systems.
- Develop scalable classifiers and tools using machine learning and data regression.
- Create effective feature roadmaps based on synthesized requirements.
Job Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering or relevant field (3+ years with a PhD).
- Experience in machine learning, recommendation systems, or related fields.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Javascript, Hack).
- Proven experience leading major initiatives successfully.
- Ability to build and ship high-quality work with reliability.
- Knowledge of C/C++, Java, and debugging skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
