Responsibilities
- Build, scale, and secure Facebook’s corporate infrastructure, focusing on the Linux environment.
- Combine open-source and commercial technologies to build impactful services.
- Work in a heterogeneous environment with various operating systems and applications.
- Apply modern engineering methodologies like infrastructure as code and container orchestration.
- Leverage Meta infrastructure to solve problems for Reality Labs Research customers.
- Produce scalable, automated, and well-documented systems.
- Train others to take on operations.
Job Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of system administration experience in a Linux environment.
- 2+ years of experience in shell scripting or equivalent.
- 2+ years of coding experience in PHP, Ruby, Python, or Go.
- 2+ years of experience with monitoring and configuration management tools like Puppet and Chef.
- Experience with job schedulers (Kubernetes, Slurm, etc.) is preferred.
- MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline is preferred.
