Responsibilities
- Develop network architectures and define requirements for scalable network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Network Engineering teams to design new data center network products.
- Create foundational designs for tray, rack layout, and cabling.
- Coordinate network designs with engineers across various disciplines.
- Work with suppliers to identify efficient product designs and certify standards.
- Analyze impacts of new designs on existing processes and modify accordingly.
- Train Design Connectivity Engineers and field teams on new design types.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, with substantial data network design experience.
- 10+ years of applicable industry experience.
- Knowledge of fiber optic components and cabling technologies.
- Experience in developing cable conveyance and cabling designs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with NEC/IEC fire and environmental ratings.
- Understanding of standards organizations in cabling infrastructure.
