Responsibilities
- Ownership of battery pack integration and design release.
- Define cell and pack requirements with engineering teams.
- Research, design, and evaluate mechanical products and systems.
- Recommend design modifications to resolve malfunctions.
- Develop test and validation plans for battery packs.
- Support reliability testing with internal and external organizations.
- Provide build support during New Product Introduction activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with battery pack design.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD packages (Siemens NX, SolidWorks, etc.).
- Experience with high volume manufacturing programs.
- Familiarity with plastic molded parts and sheet metal design.
- Experience in PCB/flex design and integration.
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience and knowledge of lithium-ion cell design.
