Responsibilities

  • Provide support for technical development and certification of propulsion systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers within NASA and with contractors to ensure safe operation of propulsion systems.
  • Conduct technical certification and oversight of propulsion components.
  • Create and review hazard reports and risk mitigation proposals.
  • Manage staffing and budget needs for the team.
  • Formulate and execute risk mitigation efforts for propulsion systems.
  • Coordinate requirements verification between multiple organizations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5-10 years of experience.
  • Experience in spacecraft propulsion focusing on fluid and mechanical aspects.
  • Knowledge of design, assembly, testing, and operation of space propulsion systems.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with NASA JSC Flight Hardware Life Cycle and engineering processes.
  • Experience in systems engineering roles in aerospace environments.
  • Ability to present technical documents and findings at high-level meetings.
