Responsibilities
- Provide support for technical development and certification of propulsion systems.
- Collaborate with engineers within NASA and with contractors to ensure safe operation of propulsion systems.
- Conduct technical certification and oversight of propulsion components.
- Create and review hazard reports and risk mitigation proposals.
- Manage staffing and budget needs for the team.
- Formulate and execute risk mitigation efforts for propulsion systems.
- Coordinate requirements verification between multiple organizations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5-10 years of experience.
- Experience in spacecraft propulsion focusing on fluid and mechanical aspects.
- Knowledge of design, assembly, testing, and operation of space propulsion systems.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with NASA JSC Flight Hardware Life Cycle and engineering processes.
- Experience in systems engineering roles in aerospace environments.
- Ability to present technical documents and findings at high-level meetings.
