The role is for an Engineer intern/co-op at MPC, focusing on managing various aspects of capital projects, including feasibility reviews, project scope development, engineering design, and contractor oversight. The position is aimed at students pursuing a degree in engineering and involves collaboration across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects from feasibility to execution.
  • Collaborate with departments during Front-End Loading phases.
  • Manage DOT regulated pipeline integrity repair programs.
  • Oversee field construction teams and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor project performance to meet quality, cost, and time parameters.
  • Conduct productivity analysis and risk assessments.
  • Support the Electrical Engineering Team on various electrical projects.

Job Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Strong academic performance.
  • U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship.
  • Availability for fieldwork and multiple work terms.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Military experience is a plus.
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week.
