Responsibilities
- Improve understanding of performance of different material construction candidates.
- Run, analyze, and modify lab-based carbon capture experiments.
- Design and fabricate new diagnostics or components for lab-based pilot projects.
- Gain hands-on experience in a machine shop and fabrication processes.
- Work with state-of-the-art 3D printing facilities.
- Collaborate with a team of scientists and engineers.
- Participate in various science and engineering problems related to carbon capture.
Job Requirements
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science.
- Interest in machine shop, prototyping, and fabrication experience.
- Basic understanding of carbon capture technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a lab environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Availability for a full-time internship during the fall semester.
