Responsibilities
- Design and develop alignment of major components, including 3D CAD modeling and engineering analysis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Electrical Engineering, Controls, Manufacturing, and Suppliers for subsystem integration.
- Plan and execute verification and validation testing to ensure designs meet requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to technicians and improve engineering processes.
- Stay current on mechanical engineering advancements relevant to power generation.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and enhance reliability.
- Uphold Mainspring's mission for clean, affordable, and reliable power generators.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
- 3+ years as a professional mechanical design engineer.
- Experience delivering products through full design lifecycles.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks preferred) and engineering drawing creation.
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical prototyping and testing.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
