Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of air vehicle structures and mechanical systems.
- Develop lightweight, high-strength structural designs for airframes.
- Perform CAD modeling, prototyping, and testing to validate designs.
- Collaborate with disciplines like propulsion and avionics for system optimization.
- Support manufacturing process development for mechanical systems.
- Assist in assembly, integration, and testing of mechanical components.
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing technologies.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering focused on air vehicle structures.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., NX, SolidWorks) and engineering analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of structural design principles and materials science.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing of mechanical systems.
- Preferred experience with airframe mechanical systems and DoD standards.
- Knowledge of advanced materials and scalable manufacturing techniques.
