Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various teams to refine product impact and market readiness.
- Brainstorm and evaluate new solutions, presenting recommendations to leadership.
- Test ideas and designs through calculations, physical tests, and simulations.
- Design reliable, cost-effective parts and assemblies for high-volume manufacturing.
- Create 3D models, drawings, and specifications for parts.
- Prototype parts or fixtures using on-site resources like 3D printing and machining.
- Define manufacturing processes and collaborate with manufacturers for prototypes and production.
Job Requirements
- Experience in Mechanical Design and 3D Modeling software (e.g., Onshape, NX, Solidworks).
- Knowledge of 2D Drawing creation and tolerancing; GD&T experience is valuable.
- Basic analysis skills in Statics, Load Path Analysis, and Finite Element Analysis.
- Prototyping skills using various manufacturing tools and processes.
- Ability to manage communication with multiple suppliers effectively.
- Experience with contract manufacturers for product improvements is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including design documentation.
