Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis and design trade-off studies of electrical architecture and power converter topologies.
- Design and build hardware for power electronics converters in automotive applications.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of hardware from specification to high-volume manufacturing.
- Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout, and firmware engineers for power converter design and validation.
- Work with the manufacturing team to ensure efficient production of power converters.
- Utilize lab equipment for testing and validation of designs.
- Apply design for manufacturing principles and conduct DFMEA.
Job Requirements
- Strong understanding of power electronics topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC).
- Hands-on experience in power converter design.
- Knowledge of control strategies, switching device characteristics, and gate driving circuit design.
- Experience in analog/digital circuit design and PCB layout.
- Proficiency with lab equipment like oscilloscopes and signal generators.
- Familiarity with design for manufacturing and DFMEA.
- Education: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering; PhD preferred.
