Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis and design trade-off studies of electrical architecture and power converter topologies.
  • Design and build hardware for power electronics converters in automotive applications.
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of hardware from specification to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout, and firmware engineers for power converter design and validation.
  • Work with the manufacturing team to ensure efficient production of power converters.
  • Utilize lab equipment for testing and validation of designs.
  • Apply design for manufacturing principles and conduct DFMEA.

Job Requirements

  • Strong understanding of power electronics topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC).
  • Hands-on experience in power converter design.
  • Knowledge of control strategies, switching device characteristics, and gate driving circuit design.
  • Experience in analog/digital circuit design and PCB layout.
  • Proficiency with lab equipment like oscilloscopes and signal generators.
  • Familiarity with design for manufacturing and DFMEA.
  • Education: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering; PhD preferred.
