Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and negotiate with suppliers.
- Create RFQs and negotiate contracts balancing cost, quality, and technical requirements.
- Work with suppliers to release parts into production and issue POs for prototype parts.
- Manage supplier development timelines and resolve issues that arise.
- Maintain supplier relationships and act as the point of contact for commercial issues.
- Achieve BOM cost reductions through negotiation and VAVEs.
- Travel 10-25% to visit suppliers and support performance-related matters.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in technical, supply chain, or finance discipline (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Operations, or Engineering in Restraints & Safety parts.
- Extensive sourcing experience in restraints and safety commodities.
- Product launch experience with knowledge of quality principles and product development processes.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Project, Power Point, Word, ERP & P2P systems.
