Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and negotiate with suppliers.
- Create RFQs, negotiate contracts, and develop sourcing recommendations.
- Manage supplier development and tooling timelines for prototype builds.
- Maintain supplier relationships and act as the point of contact for commercial issues.
- Achieve BOM cost reductions through negotiation and resourcing.
- Travel to suppliers for business support and performance matters.
- Summarize sourcing status and parts availability for internal reporting.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in technical, supply chain, or finance discipline (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Operations in Restraints & Safety parts.
- Extensive experience in sourcing restraints and safety commodities.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-first mindset.
- Proficient in Excel, Project, Power Point, Word, and ERP systems.
- Product launch experience and knowledge of quality principles preferred.
