Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop vehicle concepts from initial ideas to architecture proposals.
- Conduct benchmarking activities to align with industry trends and review findings with engineering teams.
- Create CAD sketches and parts for various vehicle systems including Body-In-White, Suspension, and Interiors.
- Represent the Chief Engineer in executive reviews and engineering change meetings.
- Mentor engineering teams on manufacturing methods to optimize weight, performance, and cost.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on vehicle attributes like safety, dynamics, and craftsmanship.
- Manage multiple complex engineering projects in a fast-paced environment.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of engineering experience in prototype or vehicle assembly.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 or similar CAD software.
- Strong understanding of physics and material science applied to vehicle design.
- Experience with various manufacturing processes such as castings and injection molding.
- Hands-on engineering experience with a focus on technical excellence.
- BS/BEng or MS/MEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of high voltage architectures and vehicle dynamics principles is advantageous.
