Responsibilities
- Assist with transmission prospecting by analyzing grid maps, system data, and available capacity.
- Use tools such as TARA, PSSE, Google Earth, and Landgate to evaluate potential project locations.
- Compile and organize transmission and land data to support development decisions.
- Conduct research on transmission planning studies, queue positions, and system upgrades.
- Prepare summaries, maps, and visuals to communicate findings to the development team.
- Participate in team meetings and present progress on assigned tasks.
- Document methodologies and results to ensure knowledge transfer and repeatability.
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate student at a 4-year college.
- Preferred major of Electrical Engineering.
- Coursework in power systems (e.g., power system analysis, electrical machines, power electronics, renewable energy systems, energy markets & policy).
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Interest in the Renewable Energy Industry.
- Strong written and organizational skills.
- Microsoft Excel proficiency.
