Mechanical Engineer/Thermal Analyst

The role is for a Mechanical Engineer/Thermal Analyst at Lockheed Martin Space, focusing on thermal design and analysis for spacecraft within the Remote Sensing Organization. The position requires extensive knowledge of heat transfer principles and thermal analysis tools.

• Conduct thorough evaluation of thermal management requirements.
• Generate detailed technical memos and recommendations.
• Present design and analysis data to the engineering team and management.
• Review, interpret, and implement program requirements.
• Collaborate with various engineering disciplines for thermal control solutions.
• Provide thermal engineering support during Thermal Vacuum (TVAC) testing.

• Current Top Secret Clearance.
• Understanding of heat transfer principles and applications.
• Experience with thermal analysis tools like Thermal Desktop.
• Knowledge of spacecraft thermal systems.
• Experience in spacecraft component thermal vacuum testing.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
