Mechanical Engineer Associate

The role involves supporting the Class 3/PPE Support equipment team on the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program at Lockheed Martin Space, focusing on designing and developing equipment to meet facility needs.

• Design and develop new Class 3/PPE equipment.
• Update existing equipment designs.
• Draft and release documentation for assigned projects.
• Engage with suppliers and senior engineers to improve technical design.
• Support vendor visits or training as needed.
• Collaborate with the FBM MGSE team on various tasks.
• Work part-time remotely as per schedule.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with CAD tools (CREO, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Design experience and understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience with EPDM management tool and FBM knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
