Battery Systems Engineer, 5+ Years

The role is for a Senior Battery Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin, supporting the US Navy's Fleet Ballistic Missile D5 Avionics Engineering. The position is based in either Littleton, CO, or Cape Canaveral, FL, and requires working in the office without teleworking options.

• Oversee the development and production of missile battery products.
• Provide technical oversight for flight test operations.
• Prepare and release design disclosures.
• Conduct detailed design and manufacturing process development.
• Execute development testing and hardware qualification.
• Address discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze data and conduct failure investigations.

• Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Prior product ownership experience and experience with high-reliability electronics or batteries.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance.
• 5+ years of professional experience; 3+ years with a Master's degree.
• Experience in mechanical design and understanding of electronics.
• Familiarity with battery chemistry and failure analysis techniques.
• Technical experience in full lifecycle development of hardware.
