Responsibilities
- Defines and documents required inspection and measurement activities, including new product inspection, receiving inspection, and calibration.
- Coordinates control of nonconforming material, including identification, containment, evaluation, and disposition.
- Monitors supplier performance and evaluates the quality of incoming materials, coordinating with the supply chain to improve performance.
- Facilitates the evaluation of customer quality concerns.
- Supports new product introductions (PDI) and ensures integration of quality requirements from concept to production.
- Coordinates with other engineers and departments to establish process controls, reduce variation, and improve yield.
- Assists in activities required to maintain third-party quality certifications (ISO 9001 and 14001) such as internal audits.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a technical field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum two (2) years as a quality, design, or manufacturing engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in statistical data analysis and tools like Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement corrective actions effectively.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, fostering collaboration and cooperation.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in work product and processes.
