Responsibilities

  • Defines and documents required inspection and measurement activities, including new product inspection, receiving inspection, and calibration.
  • Coordinates control of nonconforming material, including identification, containment, evaluation, and disposition.
  • Monitors supplier performance and evaluates the quality of incoming materials, coordinating with the supply chain to improve performance.
  • Facilitates the evaluation of customer quality concerns.
  • Supports new product introductions (PDI) and ensures integration of quality requirements from concept to production.
  • Coordinates with other engineers and departments to establish process controls, reduce variation, and improve yield.
  • Assists in activities required to maintain third-party quality certifications (ISO 9001 and 14001) such as internal audits.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a technical field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum two (2) years as a quality, design, or manufacturing engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in statistical data analysis and tools like Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement corrective actions effectively.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, fostering collaboration and cooperation.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in work product and processes.
