Responsibilities
- Submit model changes to ERCOT and update EMS accordingly.
- Run state estimator, studies, and contingency analysis to prevent electrical grid violations.
- Provide technical expertise on EMS/SCADA application functionalities.
- Manage PMU configuration and maintenance.
- Configure limits, ratings, and calculated points in EMS.
- Write basic SQL queries for data extraction from EMS database.
- Develop custom scripts for administration and maintenance of EMS applications.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 1+ years of relevant experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of EMS/SCADA applications and experience in critical environments.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems.
- Experience with SQL for database updates and data extraction.
- Familiarity with substation field devices and programming languages (Java, C, C++, Python).
- Understanding of TCP/IP and network protocols.
