Responsibilities
- Designing molds and tools for customer parts with thorough documentation.
- Generating ply/kit from customer designs and providing DFM feedback.
- Collaborating with software engineers to develop supportive tools and reviewing their output.
- Assisting customers with production cost reduction and DFM efforts.
- Engaging with production to identify and resolve issues.
- Developing training materials and programs for technicians.
- Budgeting and planning for new equipment commissioning.
Job Requirements
- Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to drive projects independently.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing composite parts from prepreg materials.
- Proficiency in CAD software (NX, SolidWorks, Catia).
- Experience with geometric QC analysis using scanned data.
- Knowledge of designing for machining and 3D printing.
- Familiarity with composites manufacturing methods.
- Basic coding or software knowledge (C++, Python, etc.).
