Sr. Specialist, Telemetry Engineer

The role is for a Sr. Specialist, Telemetry Engineer at L3Harris Technologies, responsible for the design, implementation, testing, and operation of telemetry systems for launch vehicle data collection during ground testing and flight.

• Support data post-processing and maintain reduction tools developed in C/C++.
• Work under general direction with latitude in determining methods and approaches.
• Plan schedules and arrange activities to accomplish objectives.
• Design and implement telemetry stream and database.
• Generate telemetry displays for real-time data reviewers.
• Troubleshoot and interpret wiring diagrams related to telemetry systems.
• Collaborate on mission planning concerning telemetry RF path characteristics.

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or a Graduate Degree with 4 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of telemetry systems and PCM technologies.
• Experience with RF transmit subsystems and antennas.
• Proficiency in C/C++ source code writing and maintenance.
• Capability to obtain FAA Class III medical certificate and meet USAF standards.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes and test equipment for RF signal analysis.
