Responsibilities
- Research and develop layouts and prepare engineering drawings.
- Coordinate design activities with various departments to ensure designs meet requirements.
- Lead engineers in the design of detail parts and assemblies for aircraft modifications.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders into designs and installation packages.
- Review and approve designs for aircraft modification installations.
- Utilize CAD tools for mechanical design tasks on various aircraft platforms.
- Track budgets, meet delivery schedules, and manage project aspects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of experience or a Graduate Degree with 2 years of experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of CAD skills (NX/Unigraphics preferred).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Familiarity with aircraft systems or structures is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret security clearance.
- Knowledge of aircraft structural repairs or modifications is a plus.
