Responsibilities
- Perform basic engineering calculations and preliminary design.
- Develop designs using computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
- Coordinate with personnel from other engineering disciplines and manufacturing operations.
- Utilize Design for Manufacture (DFM) software to ensure alignment with machining capabilities.
- Support hardware fabrication, testing, and evaluation.
- Prepare and present technical material to engineering leads.
- Generate engineering reports for assigned projects.
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a B.S. degree program in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to meet federal government requirements for access to government information.
- Knowledge of strength of materials, machining processes, and non-destructive testing.
- Familiarity with CAD modeling and engineering drawings.
- Ability to apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Strong communication skills for presenting technical material.
- Willingness to support anomalies and failure investigations.
