Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers across multiple domains to build the Kodiak real-time operating system.
- Design and implement core infrastructure and libraries using modern C++.
- Build highly reliable and performant compute and network systems.
- Work closely with next-generation LIDARs, cameras, radars, and other sensors.
- Gather metrics, analyze, and optimize the operation of Kodiak autonomous systems.
- Test and deploy complex robots for real customers.
- Engage in software infrastructure development in a high-performance environment.
Job Requirements
- BS, MS, or equivalent in Computer Science or similar with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in reading and writing modern C++ code.
- Familiarity with using Linux to build complex software.
- Understanding of network protocols such as TCP, UDP, and PTP (nice to have).
- Experience working with sensors like LIDARs, cameras, and radars (nice to have).
- Knowledge of performance optimization tools (nice to have).
- Background in operating systems or build systems (nice to have).
