Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers across multiple domains to build the Kodiak real-time operating system.
  • Design and implement core infrastructure and libraries using modern C++.
  • Build highly reliable and performant compute and network systems.
  • Work closely with next-generation LIDARs, cameras, radars, and other sensors.
  • Gather metrics, analyze, and optimize the operation of Kodiak autonomous systems.
  • Test and deploy complex robots for real customers.
  • Engage in software infrastructure development in a high-performance environment.

Job Requirements

  • BS, MS, or equivalent in Computer Science or similar with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing modern C++ code.
  • Familiarity with using Linux to build complex software.
  • Understanding of network protocols such as TCP, UDP, and PTP (nice to have).
  • Experience working with sensors like LIDARs, cameras, and radars (nice to have).
  • Knowledge of performance optimization tools (nice to have).
  • Background in operating systems or build systems (nice to have).
