Responsibilities
- Design, build, and prototype testing of wafer inspection equipment.
- Create innovative designs involving precision mechanisms, vacuum systems, and electronic packaging.
- Design robust mechanical components, modules, and subsystems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to derive subsystem requirements.
- Generate, review, and release engineering drawings and documentation.
- Deliver working solutions through collaboration with engineering teams.
- Develop and manage vendor relationships for component fabrication and manufacturing processes.
Job Requirements
- Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and 2D mechanical drawing, preferably with PTC Creo.
- Experience with mechanical design, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with mechanical manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding).
- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools for thermal and structural analyses.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in semiconductor equipment design and precision mechanical design is desired.
- Doctorate, Master's, or Bachelor's degree with related work experience as specified.
